Integrating Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy: Least-cost solutions for a clean energy future

Delivering the ambitious climate change targets of the Paris Agreement can only be achieved through the effective combination of energy efficiency and renewable energy. Together, they offer the best opportunity to quickly and cost-effectively move towards a decarbonised energy system. It is important that both are delivered through integrated policies and measures in a holistic manner.

To discuss how this can be best achieved, this forum brings together high-level participants from governments, energy industries, business, and finance. The IEA’s Executive Director Dr. Fatih Birol will open the Forum. A keynote panel will include top officials from IEA member states and partner countries’ governments, as well as CEOs from key industries. Sessions will discuss practical experiences of policy integration from around the world, as well as opportunities for innovation and disruptive futures.
